Clun
Developed in the Shropshire-Powys area, the Clun was developed by crossing several local breeds. Hornless, with top knot of white fleece on a brown face, they thrive on pasture with little supplimentary feeding. Often crossed with downland sires.
Fleece and Products
The creamy white fleece yields 2 – 2.5kg with a staple length of 5 – 8cm. It is used aa a filling for Japanese futons.
